Get customers hooked on the upgraded version of your product to increase your upselling chances in the future. Nurture a positive customer relationship by offering them a sense of exclusivity and appreciation.
- Offer the subscription upgrade for a period of time long enough to try and get hooked. Test different lengths of time or analyse your usage and upgrade data to find the perfect time period.
- Prompt your users to upgrade their subscription free of charge instead of upgrading it for them. If you upgrade it for them and do not inform them about it, once the upgrade is over they may get frustrated that you “downgraded them” because they might not have known that they had an “upgraded” version to start with.
