What is coupon distribution?
The trickiest part of building a solid coupon campaign is distribution. Coupon distribution is the process of delivering promo codes to customers through various channels, like email, SMS, push notifications, website pop-ups, or partner platforms, to drive engagement, conversions, or retention.
Luckily, with specialized communication partners such as Infobip you are able to precisely set up and schedule offer distribution workflows that are not only contextual, but also fully automated. Scheduling a successful coupon distribution involves:
- Defining the trigger and automation workflow.
- Building proper copy and accompanying visuals.
- Scheduling send-out time.
- Defining target audience.
- Selecting the distribution channel.
How Voucherify and Infobip simplify coupon distribution?
The integration flow between Infobip and Voucherify involves setting up an automated campaign where an external trigger, such as a CRM event, profile update, or inbound message, starts a flow in Infobip. Once the flow is triggered, Infobip uses a “Call API” block to request a personalized promo code from Voucherify’s API. This requires a preconfigured Voucherify campaign and proper authentication, with the payload including details like customer ID and metadata.

After Voucherify returns a response, Infobip extracts the promo code using a JSON path and maps it to a flow variable. This code is then inserted dynamically into a WhatsApp message sent to the customer using a prebuilt template. The flow must be validated and launched in Infobip, and its performance can be monitored live.
Orchestration & Setup
Who’s needed?
- Marketing or CRM teams – deciding when the code should be sent and to whom, configuring the message template and flow in Infobip’s Flow Builder.
- Developers (optional) – handling the API configurations and integrations between Infobip and Voucherify to set up the Call API block in Infobip and mapping the promo code from the API response.
Time to deploy:
Standing up your first Infobip & Voucherify flow usually takes 2–6 hours, depending on how your data and messaging templates are structured. That includes configuring Voucherify, setting up the Infobip flow, mapping response data, and testing end-to-end delivery via WhatsApp. Once the first flow is live, you can clone flows, swap out campaigns or message templates, and adjust triggers – all without writing new code.
